Buckland Amenities (BAG)

The BAG meets every six weeks or so (an absolute minimum of 6 six times per year) at the village hall. The next meeting will be
Tuesday 21st October 7:30pm at the Village Hall.
All meetings are open - this isn’t a group with a formal membership. So anyone, who has got a suggestion and wants to contribute to the village amenities - you are welcome.
Here are some of the projects the Amenities Group are working on:
- Playing field maintenance
- Playing Field Camp Out
- Strawberry Fayre.
- Purchase of the new mower
- Buckland Walks
- Christmas Concert
- Christmas Fair
- Missing Link
- Fireworks
See minutes for more details.
There have been many other projects proposed to the BAG and if anyone wants to come a BAG meeting and champion one of these amenities, or has another idea the BAG door is open. Below is a list of ideas proposed but not progressed:
- A full-blown community shop.
- A shared village fruit and veg garden.
- Sharing local skills in arts and craft and design.
- Other interest groups: yoga, gardening, a walking club, a running club, children’s clubs, sports training, photography, art.
- A village stargazing group.
- Communal childcare and/or a babysitting circle.
- Also other events, most particularly a Christmas tree festival such as there used to be.
